- Answer Hello! I can answer your question! The Simplisafe keyfob is 2nd gen and can only be used with Simplisafe3. There is a small red button on the top of the keyfob to prevent accidental triggarage. So, if you are scared when walking in the dark to home< you can be clutching the top of the keyfob. The keyfob will work within 200ft from the Base Station.

- Answer (continued) Successfully added the same keyfob to our Michigan base-station after having added it to our Ohio farm base-station. Arming/disarming one system via that keyfob has no affect on the other system's setting. We verified this by observing the distant system via the Simplisafe app.

- Answer It will work. When I bought my package, based on the size and needs of my house, the key fob wasn't an option. I brought this home, went to my base unit (keypad) and it paired immediately.

- Answer This is exactly the same fob you get from SimpliSafe, just cheaper. We haven't tried it past the end of our driveway. That's approx 45-50 feet from the base station (through walls and vehicles) and it works flawlessly. Direct, unobstructed may be further. If not pulling in or out, we rely on the app to make sure we set the alarm (for those rushed times when not sure).

QuestionWhen using FOB..hit Home..will only work on doors that are opened. You can still walk around without the alarm going off. Away is used . when you leave the house or go on a trip. Inside motion detectors only work when on away not home!!correct?
