The KICKER CXA800.1 is rated to develop 800 Watts RMS in to a 1-ohm load. The KICKER CompR 12" Subwoofer is rated at 500 Watts RMS and with using a pair of them (2) you would be at a total RMS power rating on your speaker system of 1000 Watts RMS. For maximum performance of your speaker systems, KICKER recommends using an amplifier that is rated to produce X Watts RMS that is within +/- 20% of your speaker systems RMS rated power. So, with a 1000 Watt RMS rated speaker system, KICKER recommends using an amplifier that falls within the 800-1200 Watts RMS range. Always keep in mind that smaller amplifiers will also sound great but just not get you the full output (SPL, loudness) potential of your speaker systems.
