A:AnswerYou can clean by mixing hot water with some dishwashing detergent have a pan big enough for the filters to fit in so you can completely submerge your carbon filter inside of the pan or bucket whatever you choose to use. Let them soak for about 15 minutes and then shake the filter from side to side and then back to front while it’s submerged this will loosen up any dirt and grime particles inside then rinse off the filters under hot water shaking the whole time make sure it is well rinsed you can place them in the sun to dry. You would probably have to clean them every 60 or 90 days. But if you look in the back of your owners manual there’s a list of supplies that you can buy and I think the carbon filters were listed in there and where to buy them they are pretty cheap.

A:AnswerIt will place the front of your cabinet near the vent but not blocking it. That could lead to a film build up on the front of the cabinets above the unit. May not be a problem at all as the vents do direct the air toward the front of the unit and away from the cabinet.
