A:Answer This is a response to the Lenovo rep who answered my question above. You stated:
"16GB max offering / 2400MHz DDR4, 4GB memory soldered to system board, one DDR4 SO-DIMM socket."
The PDF spec sheet you've pointed me to specifically states:
"16GB max offering / 2400MHz DDR4,
optional 4GB memory soldered to systemboard, one DDR4 SO-DIMM socket"
If, as you are saying, there IS 4GB soldered to the board (because again, the spec sheet says that's OPTIONAL), then how, exactly, are we getting to 16GB max? Given that 12GB RAM sticks don't exist (as far as I know), I am guessing that there is NOT actually 4GB soldered to the motherboard, no dual channel, and in fact, there is only a single, user-upgradable RAM slot that can handle 16GB max.
Can you please tell me if that is correct or not? Thank you.
