    • Answer Hello, Yes the ram is upgradable. Its can upgrade to 32GB+ of DDR4 3200 MHZ Ram. I am currently running with 2 x 8GB 3200MHZ ram and the laptop is running silky smooth in dual channel. Hope this helps!

    • Answer Hello, Yes, there is a second NVMe SSD slot for an upgrade to a second drive. Once you have the bottom cover off, you will see a metal shroud covering the second SSD slot on the left. Gently lift up the shroud, install your new drive, replace shroud and place bottom cover back on laptop. That's all there is to it. Easy peasy. Hope that helps :-)

    • Answer Hey CougarFourSeven, I am getting about 5-7 hours on half brightness and set on battery saver. Not ideal for gaming however great for light work and internet use. Once I locate the 80 watt battery upgrade for this laptop I will post the part number and where to purchase. This model currently has the 4 cell 60 watt battery. Hope this helps.

    • Answer No. The RAM hard drive and battery are all user upgradeable. The original manufacturer's warranty will still cover Lenovo OEM hardware for 1-year from the date of original manufacture, printed on the outside of the original shipping the computer comes in. The replacement parts will not be covered by Lenovo but by any existing warranty provided by their original manufacturer.

    • Answer Hello roncpem, Yes, you will be able to upgrade to Windows 11 this fall when it comes out. The laptop has the latest TPM version 2.0 hardware security chipset built in and passes Microsoft's Windows 11 requirements. I am currently running the latest public beta on my Legion 5 R7 5800H RTX 3050TI and its running silky smooth. The latest bios that came out on 08/02/21 also ensures the laptop is ready for Windows 11 when it becomes available to the public this fall. Hope this helps!

  • QuestionHow difficult is it to upgrade the RAM?

    • Answer Once you get the bottom cover off (screws and plastic clips around the perimeter that need to be released) the RAM is easily accessible under a heat shield in the center of the laptop. It comes with one 8GB DIMM with an open space to add a second one. There are Youtube videos that will walk you through the process step by step.
