Yes, you can add 8G more for a total of 16G. There is one 8G stick integrated into the motherboard that can't be removed
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, this laptop can add an additional 8GB of RAM for a total maximum of 16GB.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you look at the Hardware Maintenance Manual for this unit, you can add 8GB of memory as there is an actual memory slot available. The original 8GB is soldered in, but there is an SO-Dimm slot. The problem is, there is some disagreement about whether an end user can add the memory themselves or have to pay high dollar for Lenovo to do it without voiding the warranty. The Lenovo user forums are all over the place on that. Some say yes, and some say no. It is disappointing that Lenove is following HP and moving away from user upgradeability.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It will likely void your warranty to open the laptop but yes, you can upgrade both the RAM and the SSD. The laptop uses an M.2 SSD so it can be upgraded with the same that would be used on a desktop. The RAM is DDR4 equivalent and with work it can be upgraded.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The 730 15 inch version has a additional upgradeable slot where you can add 8gb for a total of 16gb (8gb is soldered on motherboard). The 730 13 inch version only has the 8gb soldered on the motherboard and no slot for additional. So max is already with what it comes preconfigured, not upgradeable or removable. If ram dies pc is a throwaway or have to replace motherboard.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This model is not user upgradable. A certified technician must do all of the work, so as to not void the warranty. There is 8GB of RAM soldered on the motherboard and there is an open memory slot, so your certified technician can add an additional 8GB of RAM for a total maximum of 16GB.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You CAN NOT upgrade memory. It comes with 8GB RAM, but its soldered onto the board, and does not provide additional RAM slot. The SSD can be upgraded. comes with 256GB SSD.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The memory on the Yoga 730 is NOT upgradable. It is actually soldered onto the board. Unlike what the sales person told me, the SSD drive actually is upgradable but not the memory. He told me the SSD was not upgradable but the memory was. I am sure it was an honest mistake.
