QuestionJust installed this monitor and cannot get sound to come on? Also I have installed disc that came with monitor but it doesn't seem to be doing anything? Any suggestions?

- Answer The LG 24" Class 4K UHD IPS LED Monitor (24" Diagonal), Model # 24UD58-B does not have built-in speakers, but it does have a Headphone Out port in the back that you can connect a pair of headphones to or a pair of computer speakers to. Make sure that you have your computer set to output to the monitor or headphones...^IFV

- Answer The LG 24'' Class 4K UHD IPS LED Monitor (24'' Diagonal), Model # 24UD58-B has a native resolution of 3840 x 2160 (4K) and it features 2 X HDMI™ inputs and a DisplayPort input. You'll need an adapter that can run the monitor at 4K @ 60Hz or a really good, solid, Thunderbolt 3 dongle....^IFV

Questioncan this monitor be rotated vertically, does it swivel?

- Answer It comes with a standard mount which is not adjustable in height or able to rotate to portrait mode. However, it is VESA compatible, therefore you can get a wall or better a desktop VESA arm (Those are about 20 bucks if you look hard) and you can rotate to portrait and/or adjust it to every position you would like.

QuestionDoes this monitor have HDR for great color calibration?Also will this work with a desktop with core i3 -7100 processor with 630 graphics?Intel says this processor can do this as long as you have a 2.0 HDMI port on computer.(i do)

- Answer The 24UD58-B is not an HDR monitor. If it did support HDR, it would need to have direct internal 3D LUT calibration integrated with Lightspace to calibrate and even then, there are few viable ways to calibrate such monitors with 3D LUTs since they have their factory EOTF presets fixed and they cannot be disabled while still maintaining HDR compatibility. Both HDMI ports on the 24UD58-B are HDMI 2.0. ^CP

- Answer Yes, the angle of the screen can be adjusted forwards or backwards for a comfortable viewing experience. The monitor can be tilted backwards 20 degrees and forward -2 degrees. Hold the base of the stand and pull in the desired direction. ^Daphane

QuestionHi, I have laptop with HDMI 1.4a output port (though the laptop's screen is 4k). Does this monitor work with HDMI 1.4a? When connecting to HDMI 1.4a, the resolution can still be 4k? BTW, I use this monitor for programming not for games. Thanks a lot!

- Answer update: I just installed the monitor. HDMI 1.4a supports 4k 3840x2160 30hz, with such limit, the mice pointer a little bit does not move smoothly while doing programing edit. I have to switch to 2k 2560x1440 60hz supported by HDMI 1.4a, then everything works fine. Overall, LG 24UD58-B is doing great, even I can only enjoy 2k 2560x1440 60hz due to HDMI 1.4a.

- Answer Hello Bryan. It always helps to know what connectivity you have on devices that you are looking to connect to the LG 24'' Class 4K UHD IPS LED Monitor (24'' Diagonal), Model # 24UD58-B. This monitor features 2 x HDMI 2.0 inputs and a DisplayPort (ver 1.2) input. Depending on what connection ports you have on your PC, you can either use a DisplayPort cable to connect directly to the DisplayPort on the monitor or use an HDMI cable to connect directly to either HDMI port on the monitor. If your PC has neither an HDMI port nor a DisplayPort, you can either find conversion cables that you can make the necessary connections from your PC to those mentioned for the monitor, or use the appropriate adapters to make the necessary connections...^IFV
