QuestionIs this compatible with a roku tv? If not what do I need ?

- Answer This soundbar will work with a Roku as long as your TV is compatible with a Roku. Remember that you don't connect any device directly to this soundbar. You connect your devices to your TV and the soundbar via HDMI or optical cable for sound from your TV.

QuestionHello..Is there anyway to make the LG 3.1 SL6Y sound bar turn off. I have tried everything and the OPT continues to stay on but is very dim. The sub woofer is always on, showing a steady green light. Is this just a characteristic of this sound bar.

- Answer The SL6Y has a Power (Standby) button that turns the soundbar on and off. This unit will turn itself off to save electric consumption when the main unit is not connected to an external device and is not used for 15 minutes. This unit automatically turns on by an input source : Optical, LG TV or Bluetooth. When you turn on your TV or an external device connected to this unit, this unit recognizes the input signal and selects the suitable function. You can hear the sound from your device. If you try to connect your Bluetooth device, this unit turns on and the unit will be connected to your Bluetooth device. To turn on this function, press and hold the information button on the remote control for about 3 seconds and press it once again while “OFF - AUTO POWER” is scrolled. To check the status of this function, press and hold the information button on the remote control. To turn off this function, press and hold the information button on the remote control for about 3 seconds and press it once again while “ON - AUTO POWER” is scrolled. ^CP

QuestionThe feature's list for the SL6Y says that it is compatible with the older SPK8-S rear speakers, but the SPK8-S rear speakers only lists the older SK models as being compatible? So now I'm confused, is the newer SL6Y compatible like it says it is or no?

QuestionHow is the bass with action movies and music with a lot of bass? My sound bar I have now has very little bass and is why I would like to upgrade.

- Answer I recently purchased the soundbar myself I mostly use it for gaming as well as occasional movies and music the action sounds (explosions and gunshots) are great I put the sound bar through a test of music with some oldies,bass havy dubstep,rap, classic rock and country I can say it has amazing sound for the price.

- Answer The LG SL6Y 3.1 Channel 420W Sound Bar w/DTS Virtual X & High Resolution Audio does not support multi-pairing. Pairing for this unit is limited to one Bluetooth device per unit, so you cannot pair it to a TV and to a pair of Bluetooth Headphones at the same time...^IFV

- Answer Yes its compatible and once you setup the SPK8 it automatically connects to the SL6Y. I highly recommended getting the SPK8 for a complete surround sounds experience. It did make a big difference fr a 3.1 to a 5.1 channels. Note, its not completely wireless since you need to run the wire fr the two speakers to the wireless receiver. If you already owned the SL6Y, better to do HDMI arc connection bc it auto-connect to tv and better sounds too. Good Luck and enjoy!

- Answer I don't understand that. I would unplug everything. Plug the sound bar back in. Turn it on. Plug the sub-woofer into an electrical outlet and it should pair immediately.

- Answer Only if it’s the same brand sound bar, I had a lg sound bar and I tried a few other surround sound speakers but on the lg ones worked.

QuestionEver since new my LG SL6Y (C3) has been acting up periodically. The bass cuts in and out constantly at times. Happens when watching TV and while using Bluetooth with my phone. Would my internet router being next to it have anything to do with it?

- Answer The W x H x D dimensions for the LG SL6Y 3.1 Channel 420W Sound Bar w/DTS Virtual X & High Resolution Audio are 41.7" x 2.2" x 3.4" for the bar and 6.7" x 15.5" x 9.8" for the Subwoofer. The Soundbar comes with a Wall Mount Bracket so you can mount it under your TV, but there isn't an available mount for attaching it to a TV...^IFV

- Answer After you have connected the Wireless Receiver and the rear speakers (Grey: right, Blue: left) with the speakers cables. When you first turn on the LG SPK8-S 2.0 Channel Sound Bar Wireless Rear Speaker Kit, the unit and wireless receiver will be automatically connected. The receiver's yellow - green LED turns on. If the rear speakers do not make sound, try to connect manually. Press PAIRING button on the rear of the wireless receiver.• The yellow - green LED on the wireless receiver blinks quickly. Turn on the main unit to complete pairing.• The yellow - green LED on the wireless receiver turns on....^IFV

- Answer This really doesn't answer your question but I usually change it depending on what I'm watching or listening to (tv/movie or hooking up the BT to my phone and listening to music). It's really personal preference I would say.
