The LG front loading clothes washer DOES NOT fit the Samsung pedestals. They are the exact same size, but the feet for the washer are in a different place than the Samsung feet are. They are off by less than an inch and we busted our pedestal trying to make it work. The idea of using the 2X4's with drilled out cup holes for the feet is the best idea I have seen because it keeps the washer from walking. Make a template to make sure it is perfectly drilled out in the proper place and you should be happy with its functiionability altho you may have to paint the 2x4's to match if you have any color other than white, (it could be a challenge.).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Our units are not designed for compatibility with other brand's pedestals. This unit has the following dimensions: (WxHxD) 27" x 38 11/16" x 31 1/2". ^CP
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is an old thread, but our Samsung units lasted 15 years and I am just now crossing this bridge. I made mine fit on the samsung pedestals using some sheet metal brackets. The washer uses a bracket bent at 90 degrees and uses the bolts of the washer feet. It is then pop-riveted to the pedestal. The dryer has plastic feet, so I riveted a piece to both the dryer and pedestal at each corner. (Top rivets not yet installed in pic) Obviously, the colors do not match so the aesthetics of the brackets are of little concern. One could buy the mounting brackets for the washer from amazon at $9 and mount those to the pedestal but, then you have to wait. I did not want to wait, did not want to spend another $600 and did not want to deal with selling my old pedestals which, BTW will fit the newer samsung units.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.well the pedestals are the same size but the feet are different by the way what LG said they have their own dimension so and the feet are different so i don´t think this would be a good idea so far it´s best to use the same brand as the washer pedestals as desired. and without destroying any other pedestal that belongs to someone elses brand.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I found a pedal stool and didn't know the brand but it matched my color perfectly. So I took a chance and brought it home. My husband's pretty handy. He couldn't make anything work. But he suggested to me. Why don't you just put it on top? So simple and mind blowing
