Like all dryer vent ducts, allow 5-6 inches for elbow and 4" duct. You may be able to shorten that up with one of the "periscope" ducts depending on your configuration https://www.lowes.com/pl/Periscope-dryer-vents-Dryer-vents-accessories-Ventilation-Building-supplies/4294512305
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. To ensure sufficient clearance for water inlet hoses, drain hose and airflow, allow minimum clearances of at least 1 inch (2.5 cm) at the sides and 4 inches (10 cm) behind the washer. The matching dryer is DLG3401W/DLE3400W has been tested for clearances of 1 inch (2.5 cm) on the sides and rear. Recommended clearances should be considered for the following reasons: • Additional clearances should be considered for ease of installation and servicing. • Additional clearances should be considered on all sides of the dryer to reduce noise transfer. For closet installation, with a door, minimum ventilation openings in the top and bottom of the door are required. Louvered doors with equivalent ventilation openings are acceptable. ^Daphane
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It does depend on the configuration and placement of your water and vent (do the water taps stick out from the wall? do you have to switch sides for hose lines?). But in standard cases, LG recommends 6" from the back of the unit to the wall, but I easily was able to install with a 5" clearance.
