Turn on power, turn dial to NORMAL, press SIGNAL button in bottom-right of panel. Light above SIGNAL will come on and you'll hear a "ding".

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The washing machine plays a melody when the wash cycle has finished. The volume of the melody is adjusted using the signal button. Press the signal button repeatedly to adjust the volume of the signal. When no signal is heard, the signal is off. The volume settings are low-high-off. The signal volume can be adjusted at any time as long as the washer is turned on. ^CP

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have an LG WT7400CV. The chime melody all of a sudden stopped sounding. No mention of how to restore it in the manual. I ended up pressing the button labeled "Signal * Control Lock" in the lower right corner of the control panel. That did it! That is the on/off button for the chime.
