A:AnswerI just got my delivered today and I'm sitting here watching it cycle through the first wash and it's making a squeegee sound while agitation, like when you squeegee you water off your windshield...
A:AnswerTo perform a spin only cycle: Press the power button to turn the washer on. Press and hold the spin button for 3 seconds. Press the spin button to select the desired spin speed. Selecting no spin is not allowed. Press the start/stop button. ^CP
A:AnswerThe ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 5.0 cu.ft. Mega Capacity Top Load Washer, Model # WT7200CW can also hold 20-22 pounds of laundry. The difference of 0.2 cubic feet between this model and the WT7500CW does not make a difference in terms of load capacity limits, but again, please keep in mind that while it is economical in both utility costs and time management to do full loads, you should never cram clothes and overstuff a washer just because you can. You also need to consider that the type of load will also make a big difference. 20 pounds of shirts is a lot different to 20 pounds of towels when they get wet...^IFV
A:AnswerFor normal without fabric softener button or extra rinse its about 38 min. With fabric soft button its about 49 min. When fab soft button is not activated it does the the fast spray rinse instead of a tub fill rinse.
A:AnswerI don't know much about the extra water default feature but will share my experience with you:
For the first loads I did on my new machine (bed sheets), I expected the water level in the wash cycle to come up to the top of the wet laundry (as described in the information booklet). It didn't. When I called the 800 number, the woman there told me to press the "more water" button and also to press the "add fabric softener" button - even though I was not adding softener.
That worked pretty well on other normal loads until I decided to wash a single king size blanket. Using the bedding cycle and not pressing either of the additional buttons, the water did not stop at the top of the wet blanket - but filling continued to the very top of the drum - higher than on any load before. The third time this happened, I called the LG 800 number again to find out how to lower the water level and prevent water waste, and did the "diagnostic" test with the cell phone facing the control panel. Was told it all looked OK and was asked what kind of water hoses hooked the machine to the faucets. My answer: metal clad as recommended by the store and installers. After a pause on hold, she came back to say that only rubber hoses should have been used as the metal on the hoses interfered with the water sensor on the washing machine.
When I reported this to the store (Best Buy in Park City, UT), the assistant manager told me they always sold the metal-clad hoses with their machines and had never heard of this before. He said he would check with the LG Rep, and when he called me back, he suggested they replace the machine and install the new one with rubber hoses to be on the safe side. They did and all seems fine so far.
Good luck
A:AnswerMine did the same thing.
It is the way the machine is designed.
Just like using cooler than room temperature water when set to HOT.
I returned mine !!!
A:AnswerWe are very satisfied with the performance of this washer. We are using less detergent and less water. We only use Tide HE. Maybe your problem is your detergent.
A:AnswerYes, the lid may be wet. Top Loading Machines are not sealed as tight so there always is some air circulation to help it dry, but keeping the lid open allows a bit more airflow which certainly helps. You may want to keep the lid open for a few hours after a wash to facilitate quicker drying if you prefer, but it is not critical. ^CP
A:AnswerI also have this problem that the water does not get hot. I have tried everything to get a hot water wash for whites, but have had no luck. I would not recommend this machine due to that problem.
A:AnswerThe cycle times vary widely due to the fuzzy logic and algorithms used to optimize your washing experience but, on average, the longest is 1 hour 10 minutes and the shortest being 25 minutes.
A:AnswerYou are the second person to report this is happening. I would start with unplugging the washer and letting it sit, unplugged, for 30 minutes to give the machine time to fully drain the power from the logic board. Once you do that, the machine should reset to factory settings and your sound should return.
A:AnswerThis washer is HUGE! We put our king size comforter in and it washes perfectly. My teenage daughter throws her whole laundry hamper in the wash and everything still comes out clean. As far as pounds, I can't help you here but this washer does hold a lot!
