• You should add it directly in the drum. Make sure to use HE (High-Efficiency) detergent for front-loading washing machines. If you use a detergent that does not dissolve easily or a detergent with high viscosity, it will leave a residue on the tub, which may not rinse properly. ^Daphane

• I just either put it in the actual load or in the laundry dispensary. If you use the laundry dispensary, overtime there will be build up. Just put it in the load and use presoak option and it will dissolve the oxiclean and wash you're clothes. It works pretty good.
