Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had a burn in issue with my 2016 OLED... I contacted the Magnolia Team (yes i had a contract) within a week i had a new 2018 Oled tv in my home...I might add , that the new models have a 'pixel refresh' system that runs automatically behind the scene every 4 hours after the TV has been shut off...
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It's less "burn in" and more of a "pixel deterioration" issue. The red pixels in the older models (mine was a 2016 model) were less robust and tend to wear out faster, leaving grayish images if a bright color (especially YELLOW) is left in one place on the screen for a long time. The newer models are supposed to have better built in software to combat this as well as stronger red pixels. At least that's what I found via research. As far as standing behind this new technology and their implementation of it, LG has been very supportive of my issue. In fact, today, I spoke to them and they are going to reimburse me over $1600 for my B6 that is almost a year out of warranty. That's good of them to do and shows they are willing to help out their customers. Of course, it helps if you are extremely polite in your requests. That issue aside, the OLED is CLEARLY superior in color and picture to my typical LED 4k HDR TV.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No issues yet. I fell asleep a few times with it on, max 4 hours, and there was no burn in. This model has multiple features to combat burnin, and they seem to do a very good job. Still, you have to be careful... extended periods of time on the same screen/image will increase your chance for burn in.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, Fox news Yellow "Alert" logo has caused permanent burn in on my C7 OLED 65". I have never paused the screen on this image but rather from daily watching. Love Fox but disappointed to recently dis over the burn in
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, my LG OLED65C7P has burn in ....horizontal lines across the bottom of the screen where networks place their scrawl. It's highly visible when the background colors are bright green or red. I've run the pixel refresher several times, and it does nothing to fix the problem. I have an extended warranty with Best Buy. I guess I'll see how that goes.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, a 2017 LG 55" OLED which was replaced, under the Best Buy warranty. It was replaced with a 2018 Sony 55" OLED and now it has a burnt screen! It is also being replaced under the Best Buy Warranty. We are retired and the television is on a minimum of 10 hrs a day, I love the picture on these sets but the trouble of having them replaced is not a simple procedure.
