  • QuestionI saw the Q&A that indicted a FireStick cannot be used. Just got the TV...great so far, but my FireStick keeps resetting due to overheating. Can someone confirm if this TV is or is not compatible with the FireStick.

    Asked by SeanS.

    • Answer Amazon Fire Sticks are designed to be used in HDMI ports of any TV regardless or brand or manufacturer. You can plug an Amazon Fire Stick into any of the HDMI ports on the LG 55 inch Class 4K Smart UHD TV with AI ThinQ® (54.6'' Diag), Model # 55UN7300PUF. If the Fire Stick is overheating then you will need to have it inspected. When a Firestick gets too hot, it can negatively impact the performance in many ways. Some tests have shown that the recent Fire TV Stick 4K doesn't get as warm as its predecessors, but there are still problems, even with the newer device. When the Firestick keeps turning off the TV, the issue could be due to a faulty power adapter. While Fire TV Stick comes with a 1 Amp adapter, using a different adapter with a similar or slightly higher power (2 Amp) is known to fix the restart issue. Like any other hardware or software, Fire TV Stick is prone to malfunctions and breakdowns. And when that happens, one needs to be patient for most of the things can be fixed with simple solutions. Whether you are an old or new user of Fire TV Stick, mostly the restart issue is due to erratic power supply. If the Fire TV Stick is connected using the USB port of your TV, remove it from there and plug it to the power outlet using an adapter. That’s because not all USB ports provide sufficient power to run streaming sticks properly...^IFV

  • QuestionIs their a special mount for mounting outside, also can any tv be mounted outside. Do they make a frame for mounting?

    Asked by Warren.

    • Answer Yes any tv can be mounted outside. However, you may need to make a weathertite frame for it to be in. As far as I know you will probably have to have it custom made though. Any descent handyman should be able to set up a plexiglass case with the correct air flow and still protected from weather for a reasonable price.

  • QuestionThe feet of the tv stand seems flimsy

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer The two support feet for the LG 55UN7300PUF 2160P SMART 4K ULTRA HD model are solid enough to support the weight of the model design firmly, provided the support table or stand support you provide is solid and level. Obviously, LG attempts to provide sufficient device support at minimum factory production cost to lower the retail price. The 2 small feet do cost considerably less to manufacture than the former larger center base support design. Also, LG expects most customers of a 55" TV will not be using the feet, but rather be utilizing a wall mount support instead. I purchased two LG 55UN7300PUF sets, one using the feet providing solid support placed on top of a wide bedroom dresser, and the second set was wall mounted. No difficulties with either means of support. I have found this LG model is a good choice for it's price point. Also of note: As you may have already considered, if wide angle screen viewing is not essential, my research & reviews recommend this LG model "VA Panel" rather than a set design with an "IPS" panel. The "VA" Panel provides a 3000:1 contrast ratio, rather than the "IPS" 1000:1 contrast ratio panel. A "VA Panel" produces a much better lower black level and higher contrast ratio, over the IPS panels greyer black levels. LG offers both VA or IPS in their 55" models. If wide angle screen viewing is not necessary, the "VA" Panel improved black level is preferred, which the LG 55UN7300PUF model employs.

  • QuestionDoes this TV have the Xfinity streaming app?

    Asked by Tracy.

    • Answer I just purchased an LG 50UN7300 TV from Costco. I have read that the “N” in the model name identifies it as a 2020 model whereas sets with an “M” in the model name are 2019 models. So if the Xfinity Stream beta app will work with the 2019 models as has been widely reported, one would think that it would also work with 2020 models. Yet although I am able to download and load the app through the TV, so far whenever I click the “Get Started” button in the app... nothing happens! I spoke to Xfinity Support about this and the technician thinks that LG may have neglected to fully update the TV software in the newer model to enable Xfinity Stream to launch and run. Of course there are work around devices, but each requires use of an extra plug-in device and I got the LG TV specifically to avoid needing to do this. Does LG have a software fix specifically for this?
