“LG does not have the ESPN app and it cannot be transmitted from a phone with the app. is there anyway around this as i have tried to download the ESPN app all to no avail? This TV cost too much not to have ESPN preinstalled.”

You can add Apple TV and have ESPN and all other apps or add a stick. Your correct it does not have it installed.

ESPN+ has not yet provided a version of the app that is compatible with LG Smart TVs. We do hope that ESPN+ will be available in the future, and I encourage you to also reach out to ESPN and let them know you want to see their content on LG TVs. If you have a Hulu service, you may get ESPN+ as an add-on to your existing subscription. For additional assistance, you may visit their page at https://www.hulu.com/espnplus. You may also use a compatible streaming device to view ESPN+. This could include devices like Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Fire TV Stick, and Smart Blu-ray players.
