Definitely OK to play video games (awesome in fact!). The burn-in concern I have specifically is with the logos from the various networks being in the same spot on screen for hours on end (like during a football game) and at max brightness (white typically) for that logo. Have not had an issue there yet and I do think LG is doing a much better job of avoiding burn-in than they were even 5 years ago. I myself am planning on a PS5 too but I intend to wait til Nov 2021-Jan 2022 (whenever the best deals happen for the holidays) and also get the 8K TV with it as well.

So far I haven't seen any issues at all. I put in a few hours of gaming a week. There's also a setting in the menu that's supposed to clean up any burn in or image retention. I definitely feel comfortable recommending this TV if you plan on doing any gaming on it.
