A:AnswerYes you'll still need a modem. A modem is what actually brings the internet into your house this just turns it into a WiFi signal and disperses it throughout the house. Also make sure to run a speed test in the router settings to make sure you're getting the full speed you need. Mine was supposed to be around 500mb/s but was locked down to thirty until I ran the test.
A:AnswerI have an xbox and purchased this router due to constant connectivity issues playing Rainbow Six Siege. Not only was this by far the easiest router I have ever set up, it is the fastest. My ping instantly dropped lower than any of my friends. No more connection issues. It even solved an issue that I didn't expect and that is I can now directly connect to one of my friends that I could never directly connect to before. I still have never opened any ports on this router and my NAT type has been open since the install.
Only thing I can't tell you is that mine is connected via cable rather than wireless so I can't help you there. Signal strength is great around my house though and outside. Also priority system is much easier to use compared the the Netgear I had.
A:AnswerI currently have 2 PS4's and one Xbox running off of mine and it seems to be working fine. However I also upgraded my internet download speed so that wouldn't be the bottleneck.
A:AnswerThis is a router so it can be connected to any modem. The router is the device that takes the internet from the modem and turns it in a wifi network. To use this device you need to still have a modem from your provider or turn you current modem/ router to a bridge mode to use this router to improve your network.
A:AnswerIt works best for Ps4 to be directly connected to router with Ethernet cable. It was slightly better WiFi signal in my son’s room without being directly connected. My ps4 gets dl speeds of over 250mbs direct plug in, as his gets about 45mbs on WiFi.
