What do the buttons on the left side of the mouse do? null

I don't mean to sound like a bumhole, but, the best thing to do is to register your product w/Logitech & dl the manual & read it; most everything's explained in it. But, one can program these buttons to do a number of things, like go back a page on your website. Hope this helps ya out. zedd

By default, they support "go back" and "go forward" navigation across web sites/pages in the browser. LogiTech provides software that, I believe allows you to customize the functions of those buttons, however.

You can program the first 2 buttons to preform a shortcut. I use the Control W or Command W (to close open tabs) on the first button. I use the Enter key for the middle button. The last button is to choose which computer it is assigned to. I am currently using 1 for a Mac and 2 for a PC. If I have a 3rd computer I need to use it with I can have the mouse work for the 3rd computer.

You use them to choose which computer you want to use the mouse with. Assuming you are questioning about the buttons with 1, 2 and 3 on the left.
