It means that the full function of the keyboard only works with Apple Silicon macs. I just bought it, connected it to my 2017 Intel MacBook Pro, and the keyboard works great. The only function of the keyboard that doesn't work with non-Apple Silicon macs is the Touch ID built into the keyboard.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You would need a device with a M1 or M2 processor, not Intel.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If your computer also has Apple Silicon, you can use Touch ID to log in. So you you use your password just once. After that, you merely use the key with the circle on it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It means that your apple computer is NOT made with Intel chips. Apple has started making their own called "APPLE SILICON" and designated by the letter M. So far there are M1, M2, M3 and M4. This keyboard ONLY works with Mac computers that have an M chip.
