QuestionMy new Maytag washer doesn't add enough water to cover the load, and it really twists the items. I'm afraid it will tear them apart. Is this normal? How can I add more water? I'm afraid to wash my good clothes, and I don't want to buy another washer.

- Answer 10/21/2020 I just purchased a new maytag washer & dryer. I HATE THIS WASHER!!!!!!!! A washer MUST have water deep enough so that the clothes agitate freely. There is hardly any water in the tub. I added, by using a bucket, 16 gallons of water just to get enough water to wash a load of laundry. AGAIN, I HATE THIS WASHER. A TOTAL WASTE OF MY HARD EARNED $$$$$. I want my money back and this junky washer GONE!

QuestionHow long is the cycle time for a normal load with normal soil?

- Answer momof3, a normal load can run from 45-55 minutes, but it can take longer if the sensors detect the load is off balance for instance, it can make the cycle run longer.

- Answer Most of the time, I have not had any issues. One time with towels, it was wet and I ran it thru an extra rinse/spin cycle. It was fine after that.

QuestionIs this a quiet running washer? I've had two LGs since 2009 (one top loader and one front loader) - loved the way they washed clothes and how quiet they ran. Didn't particularly care for the length of time they held up (or didn't).

- Answer It is mostly quiet. There is one cycle where I notice the washing machine. My house is such that the laundry area is open and next to the living room. I'm not unhappy with the machine.

- Answer Yes but you need to buy a stacking kit and Best Buy doesn't sell a Maytag stacking kit so you will have to go with the one Best Buy customer service said is the closest which was the Whirlpool stacking kit... even then the installers will see that the stacking kit is for the wrong brand and may refuse to install it but after some threatening the installers for my stackable unit was able to make it work

- Answer I have never had mold or any odor as I keep the door open for at least a day to dry. I seldom keep it totally closed Any washer will pick up odor or mold if you close it when still wet.
