what is meant by HE detergent? null

HE detergent is specifically made for HE machines. It is low sudsing and makes machine work properly.

i am pretty sure means for new High Energy washers. only thing i read is that it does not make as many suds to fill our land and waterways. i also think it does specify mainly for cold wash. i rarely use hot. maybe warm, don't know why they specify that. need to google it.
