A:Answer Agitator moves sufficiently, but very little water. Some clothing and bedding have been damaged due , I think, to the lack of water. I have always had an agitator washer, with lots of water, so clothes were always clean and well rinsed. No, my new Maytag It did not come in an enclosed box that I saw, unless it was unpacked on the truck. I am looking for a possible replacement. The washer is pretty to look at and has nice sounds, but still, I can't afford to have my clothing damaged.
