- Answer Correction - I just read you can connect the Surface Book 2 power brick connector directly to the screen at the keyboard connection. So YES, you can charge just the tablet without the keyboard attached. This is great if you just want to carry the tablet without the keyboard. But you'll have to bring along the Surface Book 2 power brick.

- Answer No. Unlike the original Book and recent Surfaces, the newer releases in Surface do not come with the pen. I believe it's around $99. The original Surface Pen is supposed to work with this one, which may be one reason it wasn't bundled. Among other upgrades, the "New" Surface Pen includes increased pressure levels and tilting.

QuestionHey I was wondering how long the tablet last on a charge when not connected to the base?

- Answer I recently streamed a 90 minute soccer game on the detached tablet. I paused the stream at half time and redocked it on the base (not connected to power) by the end I was at about 40% battery on the tablet and 78% when I reconnected to the base at the end of the game. Based on that I would approximate you could get 3 hours of continuous streaming out of the tablet.

- Answer The total weight for this model including the keyboard is 1642 g (3.62 lbs.) In case you needed to know, the tablet portion alone weighs 719 g (1.59 lbs.)

- Answer Any purchase of Surface Book 2 comes with a standard one year warranty that is valid only in the country of purchase. Within 45 days of purchase, you may add Microsoft Complete for extra protection coverage for your device, however this is also only valid in the country of purchase.
