- Answer It is supposed to. The keyboards are said to be compatible forward and back as the new pro accessories are said to work with the pro original also.

- Answer You do not have to have a separate mouse. The Trackpad will do anything a separate mouse will do. That said, if you are not use to a trackpad, a small Bluetooth mouse is a welcome addition and does not interfere with the trackpad.

- Answer No. The keyboard has a specific multi-pin interface with the Surface tablet. It is not a Bluetooth keyboard. Will work with both Surface RT and Surface Pro.

QuestionDo you have to use a keyboard like this with the Surface?I just bought the Surface yesterday online here but didn't get keyboard yet. Do you have to have a keyboard to use the surface or can you just type in on the tablet on the touch screen? Are these the only keyboards that work with the Surface? I picked up a keyboard/w cover today that is blue tooth driven and wondered if I can use it since with the Surface? It says it works with iPad but didn't say anything about Surface but if the Surface has Bluetooth will it work. Does Surface have Bluetooth?

QuestionIs there a discount for buying this keyboard with the Surface together?I noticed that Microsoft offered a discount for purchasing the Touch keyboard and Surface together. Might this also be the case with the Type?

- Answer I exchanged the package flat type with the raised keyboard cover at Best Buys and worked out about same price as package deal. Just ask, manager. You never know!

QuestionWill Windows 7 Professional work with this computer?Can I use Windows 7 Professional on this computer? Many of my programs are this format.

- Answer The Surface RT is a tablet and except for the MS Office 2013 program that comes with it will only run apps downloaded from the Microsoft App Store. The Surface Pro is a full fledged Windows 8 Pro computer and will run all programs that will run on Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8 in addition to apps downloaded from the Windows App Store. The Windows 7 operating system is not compatible with the Surface Pro but your programs that run under that should work fine with Windows 8 Pro.

- Answer There is not warranty specifically for this product, but with bestbuy you have the option of returning any product as long as no more than 30 days have passed and you still have your receipt. This is true for all best buy products.
