• A:Answer No. This is available only for new users. But there is a workaround. You would need to switch to a different carrier and stay outside for 30 days and then switch back to Mint again. Once you are outside of Mint Network for more than 30 days, you are treated as a new customer.

• A:Answer The number will be available once you activate the sim, It is not written in the sim card. You also have the option to port-in to maintain your present number but you must know the account and pin # of your present line and it must be active as well during the port in process.

• A:Answer Steer clear. They are impossible to deal with, and stole my 60 dollars. Their "guarantee" is NOT HONORED when purchased from a retailer. They ported the wrong phone number and it took a week and 8 hours total on the phone to get it straightened out, so I cancelled the service and they refused to refund my money.

• A:Answer Yes, Mint tells you that you have 45 days to activate after purchase but I think its actually alot longer as on the back of the cards it says activate by X month - 2022 which is alot longer then 45 days but I have never tried going months or years without activation after purchase. You can probably work something out with MINTmobile customer service.

• A:Answer I ported in my number from spectrum mobile, came out from contract, you can use the same pack either to choose or activate a new wireless number or port-in your existing number form different service provider, hope this helps decide in buying this pack, I had the same question before buying this pack, at that time it was an experiment, cause did not find any answers online.

• A:Answer To answer your question... theoretically yes, you can activate 4 months later. However, there is an expiry date on the physical card that you won't know until you break open the packaging. In my experience, that expiry date is normally 1-2 years from now, but if you purchase your SIM card from "old inventory" you'll probably get a card with an earlier expiry date.

Q: QuestionFor the free 3 months, will it be applied to the account so that the expiration date will be extended by 3 months (totally 6 months)? Or will mint add 3-month value credit to the account and it can only credit for the next renew (in 3 months)?

Q: QuestionI pay tax on the card at the store. Do I then have to pay tax (and the recover fee) when I activate the card with Mint Mobile. Also, store employee told me he didn't see anything on it about the 3 months free so maybe buy it from MM direct.

• A:Answer You prepay everything - they recently started adding the tax surcharges. When you activate the SIM card you get a 6 mo. plan and no additional charges. The Mint customer service is a good resource as well.

Q: QuestionIf I buy this and insert it into my (unlocked) Verizon iPhone 8, I understand it will then work with Mint. However, if I remove the sim card, will the phone go back to working with Verizon? I want to test to see if Mint will work for me and my area.

• A:Answer Yes, you can switch back and forth between SIM cards - I’ve done it myself with my iPhone XS between two different carriers. You just have to restart your phone when you insert a new SIM so that the carrier settings can be updated.
