“Does the Mophie Juice Pack work with the iPhone 8? You indicate that this model works with both the iPhone 7 and iPhone 8 but Cnet.com begs to differ and at least one reviewer says it doesn't... please clarify!”

I bought and had to return the Mophie Juice to Best Buy because it did not fit my IPhone 8. It was so tight I was literally afraid it would break the back glass of my brand new phone after trying to remove it unsuccessfully. I called Mophie. They have excellent customer service.and have received numerous complaints about the same problem. I was advised that the IPhone 8 is actually just a small fraction of an inch larger than the iPhone 7, causing the problem. The Mophie Juice for iPhone 8 is expected to be available in December. Since the case was put on by a very helpful Best Buy person, I was advised to take it back there to have it removed and wait until Mophie's case for the iPhone 8 is released. Best Buy's service was outstanding. Take a look at Mophie's site. There are no cases for the iPhone 8 yet; only the charging pads; but the Juice is shown for the iPhone 7. I always use Mophie cases on my iPhones and LOVE them. However, anyone who uses them knows the heat from external battery is somewhat palpable when in use, so I can understand the bigger problems potentially ahead with using it due to the super tight fit. Instead, I will follow Mophies advice and wait for the Mophie case designed for the 8. My best advice: Call Mophie yourself before purchasing this case for an iPhone 8. Hope this helps someone.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I ordered the iphone 7 AND 8 version today to be picked up at the store. When I got there I was given the iphone 7 version. I asked for the version that included the 8 and they said it was the same. So I tested it in front of them and it didn’t work on my iphone 8. Instead of offering me a different color for the same price as the blue one they had me return my case and walk out empty handed. This was in Danvers, MA. So yeah, if you are to get one, make sure it says 7 AND 8 on the box.

Please try again later.I have a Mophie juice pack that is supposed to fit the iPhone 8 but it doesn’t fit like a hand in glove it fits more like a chisel and a hammer to get them to separate. I have to use a knife to pry them apart or they cannot separate and each time it does a little more damage to my iPhone 8. I wish they would make a better one or come up with a way to make this one separate without using a knife or pliers with a washcloth or better yet allow you to trade it in for a new model they have made to correct this problem, because this is very frustrating.

I believe that Mophie is contractually obligated to NOT mention iPhone 8 compatibility on this item because Mophie has granted Apple exclusive rights to the iPhone 8 Juice Pack (at least for the present). Works as advertised.

It’s been available since September and it works and fits perfectly on the iPhone 8. The glass back of the iPhone 8 makes it thicker and a bit wider than the iPhone 7. They are not identical in size. The mop joe juice pack classic for the iPhone 8 is only available in Black currently.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I’m afraid I too had major problems trying to fit an iPhone 8 Plus into this Mophie Juice Pack case. I have been a big fan of Mophie’s previous Juice Pack products and have used them successfully on iPhones 4, 5s and 6s previously where they were perfect fits, but hit a major problem trying to fit my iPhone 8 Plus into this case which is just too tight, being designed for the iPhone 7 Plus which is marginally smaller. I did manage to obtain a full refund for the case but it had already done permanent damage to my iPhone 8 plus, caused when the phone got hot (and expanded by a tiny amount) after this charging it from the Mophie’s built-in battery. My advice - don’t buy this product, but wait until Mophie issues a dedicated iPhone 8 Plus battery case.
