Q: QuestionIt seems that a lot of people talk about this like a cpu. I’m a bit confused. I’m pretty sure it’s a gpu. Also, is it compatible with a b550 motherboard? Also, what power supply would you recommend for this and a b550 board?

• A:Answer Currently using this GPU with an ASUS PRIME PLUS B550 and a EVGA - W1 Series 600W ATX 12V/EPS 12V 80 Plus Power Supply. It worked great, the only thing I will say is that initially only the DisplayPort slots were working (not the HDMI) until I ran a BIOS update. After the update everything worked flawlessly!

• A:Answer Yes, you may have to run a BIOS update initially depending on your setup. I have a Ryzen 5 2600 with the ASUS Prime Plus B550 motherboard. Initially, I had to connect my monitor via DisplayPort but once I ran the BIOS update for my motherboard the HDMI port worked perfectly.

• A:Answer A guy who left review says x8, but 3 other places all advertise it as x16 for this MSI MECH version. I do not see how the 1660Super can even hang/outperform this card despite what people claim.... unless these specs are just fake. (Which I doubt they are) Clock Speeds show this card to be much better for base clock. I think this is exact same card as the ones for sale at the other places mentioned, and they all show PCIe4.0x16 for MSI RX5500XT MECH.

• A:Answer I have been playing Cyberpunk 2077 for a while now with this card on ultra settings at 1080p I get an avg of around 40fps. Of course lower settings will get more frames but honestly, cyberpunk is a very graphics intensive game and is very playable with this card.

• A:Answer Ok did a little internet searching. That line of boards has a PCI express 3.0 slot. This graphics card is set up for a pci express 4.0 slot which is backwards compatible for PCI express 3.0. The card will be throttled to the PCI express 3.0 through put how ever.
