“This is my first build and I am stuck, does the motherboard not come with mounting screws to mount it to the case?”

• The case that you buy come with mounting screws! Be sure to check the box that the case came in as there should be a small plastic package with all that in it

• The screws come with the case that you buy since all cases are different! So no need to buy screws.

• No, the case has the motherboard mounting screws with it , I think you can buy a mounting kit online.

• Unfortunately you have to buy it separately. I also was shocked when I bought it with no screws available so had to delay my build a extra few days. It only includes the Io shield and two sata cables, one straight and one angled but nothing else hardware wise.
