A:Answer I'd say the GE66 is special because it's a good build quality laptop with a higher power 3070. No more Max-Q and Max-P naming this gen, so you have to check each laptop to see how many watts of power they're allowing to the GPU.
For the processor, as of right now the only 11th gen Intel processors released in laptops are the 4 core variants. Maybe another month or so for the higher core count 11th gen to show up? But I don't know if 11th gen is really going to give you anything more than 10th gen. Maybe higher boosts at the expense of higher voltages/temps?
Ryzen I agree would be better here. But Ryzen laptops are in short supply, if this came with the Ryzen chip I'd expect it to be much harder to get. And if the focus is solely on gaming, the difference between Intel 10th gen and Ryzen I think is not all that much. Productivity though, Ryzen wins for sure.
