You unlock you home network to connect them together then set up a pwrd for the extender.

They do seamlessly connect to your devices, that being said it does create a new wifi network name, just join this network as you did with your wifi router, the password is the same, choose connect automatically, and if you lose signal at your router, you will automatically connect to this range extender, you will never even know you did.

Using your phone or tablet, go to your wi-fi settings and connect to the network named after the extender. Should be something followed by an "_ext" 3. Open up a web browser window on that same phone or tablet, and you'll be directed to the set up process. It will ask you to pick which network you want to extend, then prompt you to put in passwords, etc. 4. When that process is complete, take the extender and plug it in wherever you need a signal boost. Should be good to go.
