A:Answer As you see on my photo; I just built my Router Extension stand out of Alder scrap lumber and use regular wooden broom handle as the pole. In single story home, your less than 2 feet plug outlet above the floor isn't the best way to get max. range without losing left green light. If you get left Amber light, even you get the right Green light. You'll getting great Wi-Fi signal, 'BUT, BUT' your internet is too slow. You get it closer to your main Wireless Router and or you raise your EXT. Router around 6' to 7' above the floor to get green light. You can move this EXT. router from left or to the right until your left green light will go on. After you raise your EXT. router, your Devices will have even more reliable and extended range. Unless you're in the Rural Area, use 5GHz. through your devices instead of 2.4GHz. for more stable range on very quiet band than very over-crowded band from your neighbors. Living too close to the Hospital, I can't help you, because even 5GHz. is so clutter from Hospital. Good-Luck!
