A:Answer This will work with any provider. I used to have Xfinity, but now I have Verizon FiOS. If you connect via an Ethernet cable then you will not have to worry about any performance loss due to obstructions. You will not get the full 250Mbps but you should definitely get way more than 30Mbps. I am using mine with just the wireless feature (no Ethernet cable), and I am getting ~80Mbps and have several obstructions between the extender and main router (which is also a Nighthawk model). If I moved it in closer I would get well over 100Mbps, but 80Mbps meets my needs for this area of the house. If I directly connected it, it would be way faster, but never tested that and I have it a good 25 feet away on the top floor and my primary router is on the main level.
