  • QuestionWhat lens is best recommended for a Nikon D3100?

    Asked by Ang.

    • Answer The Nikon D3100 is not compatible with Nikon AF-P type lenses like the Nikon AF-P DX NIKKOR 70-300MM f/4.5-6.3G ED Telephoto Zoom lens. If you're interested in super-zoom lenses that are compatible with the D3100 camera model look into AF-S Nikkor type lens like the AF-S DX Nikkor 18-300mm f/3.5-6.3G ED VR or the AF-S VR Zoom-Nikkor 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6G IF-ED.

  • QuestionIs this compatible with a D3300?

    Asked by SuzanneD.

    • Answer The D3300 would require a firmware update to work with AF-P type lenses. You can check your camera's firmware version off the setup menu (looks like a wrench icon) on the camera. It is usually the last option on the menu. It needs to be version 1.01 or later. See the enclosed link for more details: http://downloadcenter.nikonimglib.com/en/download/fw/174.html.
