  • QuestionIs this compatible with a d90?

    Asked by Ray.

    • Answer No. The Nikon D90 DSLR camera does not have built-in wireless transfer technology, so it cannot use the Nikon WU-1a Wireless Mobile Adapter. To have a wireless option for the D90 camera, use a 2GB Eye-Fi memory card.

  • QuestionWill a Nikon D5100 camera work with the Nikon WU-1a wireless mobile adapter

    Asked by DJF.

    • Answer The Nikon D5100 DSLR camera is not compatible with the WU-1A wireless Mobile Adapter as this model camera does not have built-in Wi-Fi for wireless connection. For a wireless option use a 2 GB SD Eye-Fi card (Share product category), a 4 GB SDHC Eye-Fi card (Share Video product category), or an 8 GB SDHC Eye-Fi card (Pro X2 product category) to wirelessly transfer images.

  • QuestionI have a Nikon d3000 will this work with it? Are there any other options if not? TIA

    Asked by Nichole.

    • Answer The Nikon WU-1A Wireless Mobile Adapter will not work with the Nikon D3000 camera as that camera model does not have Wi-Fi capability. There are no compatible accessories for adding Wi-Fi to this camera model. If you are looking for instant wireless transfer of images you may be interested in the Nikon D5600, which has built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, for constant connection with a compatible smart device and even remote shooting capability!

  • QuestionDoes this adapter works with the d810. If not how can I transfer photos to my android phone. Like I do from my d7200. Thanks

    Asked by Erik53.

    • Answer No, the Nikon WU-1A Wireless Mobile Adapter is not compatible with the Nikon D810 DSLR camera. For a compatible wireless accessory you would need to use a Nikon UT-1 communication unit and Nikon WT-5 wireless transmitter together to transfer images wirelessly to a computer or ftp server. You can also use the Nikon WT-7A Wireless Transmitter instead, for connecting to computers, FTP or HTTP servers and smart devices. To learn more about wireless options please contact Nikon Support.

  • QuestionDoes wu-1a works with D800 ?

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer No. The WU-1a Wireless Adapter is not compatible with the Nikon D800 DSLR camera for image transfer. The compatible Wireless Transmitter for the Nikon D800 is the WT-4 Wireless Transmitter. This allows you to transfer images that are stored on the memory card and ones just taken to a computer or FTP server. You can also use a WT-5A and UT-1 combination to transmit images to an FTP server or computer two times faster than with the Nikon WT-4A. With the WT-5A in HTTP mode you can use the web browser on your iPhone® and/or iPad®** to operate camera controls or begin Live View shooting, including starting and stopping HD video and more.
