Yes but you’ll have to download the compatible app. However downloading is very slow and unreliable

No, the Nikon 1 J1 camera does not have wireless capability, so it cannot use the WU-1a Wireless Mobile Adapter for transfer. Instead, transfer images to a computer by using the provided UC-E15 USB Cable or by taking the memory card out of the camera and placing it in an SD card reader on the computer. Images can then be shared in a variety of ways.

No, the WU-1A adapter is not compatible with the Nikon 1 J1. Nikon does not make a Wi-fi adapter that is compatible with the J1.
