- Answer I know a lot of people complain about the sound, but honestly it’s no louder then a vacuum cleaner, it’s definitely Not Jet engine loud at all. The machine is drilling through frozen solid ingredients. The ice cream setting runs for 2 minutes. The Italian ice setting runs for 5 minutes, you don’t have to stand right next to the machine while it’s running if the sound bothers you. If I walk into the other room, it’s barely noticeable.

- Answer You definitely can put the remainder back in the freezer. You don’t have to use the machine the next time you want to enjoy your ice cream again. But, I do recommend using the ‘respin’ button on the machine to get the perfect consistency every time because the freezer makes it a little hard after awhile.

- Answer Hello: The difference between the 201 and 501 models are the amount of functions.. The 201 has 7 functions, such as ice cream, lite ice cream, sorbet, milkshake, smoothie bowl, gelato and the ability to do mix-ins. The 501 has the same as I just mentioned, plus it has frozen yogurt, creamiccino, frozen drink, slushi, and italian ice. the mix-in function is the capability add treats, like cookies, candies, fruit, chocolate, etc. I hope this helps.

- Answer I do not have the knowledge on PFAS in plastics but the bowls are plastics and so are the lids. They have rubber that holds everything air tight from the spinner to the blades.
