A:AnswerYou have to remove the K-Cup holder and use the ground coffee basket. Once you slide the silver cover over the ground coffee, the machine will automatically switch to "bean" mode and allow you to chose different sizes from single cup up to a full carafe.
A:AnswerYes, the exact same problem as you're having. I can see how it happens. Whoever designed this carafe wasn't goid at their job didn't take into account physics. There's a seam on the inside and the outside where the metal spout/rim sets into the black plastic handle. Every time coffee is poured a little bit of coffee drips down inside tbe handle. After the carafe is empty washed and dried I can shake the carafe & hear fluid that has built up inside the handle. The spout and handle should have been designed as one piece, not two.
A:AnswerI fill the thermal carafe with hot water and let it stand for a few minutes, then dump the water out and proceed with brewing the pot. It does keep the coffee hotter for a longer period when it is prewarmed.
A:AnswerThe machine does beep when starting and at the end of a brewing cycle. It also beeps five times if the open / close slider is closed when it should be opened so that brewed coffe goes into the carafe. The beeping is not very loud, and cannot be turned off.
A:AnswerIf you want an absolutely perfect fit on a permanent coffee filter there is another coffee machine by GE (from their "Cafe" line) that uses the EXACT SAME permanent filter as these (Ninja's filter is basically perpetually out of stock unfortunately!)
It's called "Filter Frame part #WC02X20407
If you have any trouble finding it, just find the Cafe Specialty Drip Coffee Maker on the GE Appliance website and go to the replacement parts section for that machine and you will see the filter listed there.
Only way I found this out is that I was lucky enough to see the two machines side by side in a Best Buy store and I actually just opened the machines and test fit the filter into the Ninja and the fit was clearly perfect.
A:AnswerKinda sorta. If you buy an espresso roast coffee or k-cup, it will come extremely close to a legit, tightly-packed, pressure-pumped espresso if you use the Specialty setting. If you're a purist, just know that this doesn't build up the pressure as a dedicated espresso machine does so you may be disappointed. I can't tell the difference if using a k-cup, but a connoisseur maybe can. Using grounds is a bit more obvious since it's only a gravity-fed drip that's being used to make the coffee.
A:AnswerYes, the glass carafe, brew-through lid, permanent filter, brew basket, water reservoir, water reservoir lid, frother whisk, and Ninja Smart Scoop are all dishwasher safe.
A:AnswerTry a cap of bleach in the reservoir and let it soak. Do not run the bleach solution through the machine. Hint. Put the bleach in before the water to mix it all together
A:AnswerYes. Just use the boiling/ hot water feature. It dispenses whatever size you select directly into your cup or bowl. The machine dispenses it separately from the coffee dispenser so the hot water doesn't taste like coffee. Also great if you need hot water for a bowl of cereal.
A:AnswerI read somewhere in the documentation at Ninja that you cannot use reusable pods in this particular model. I was a bit disappointed about this, though I still live the DualBrew Pro. Perhaps someone will make a reusable pod for it in the futere.
A:AnswerNo this machine uses 3 inserts for water and requires a special reusable filter that you can buy. I have 4 of them and they were really inexpensive and work great.
