“Is there a place for the smart thermometer on this model ?”

• No, that feature is only on the more expensive model. Sorry. Wish there was but I couldn't see spending nearly double to get the thermometer. Perhaps it will be useful enough for you if you really want it. So far it hasn't been a real problem though it would make it easier to ensure proper cooking temp. We did have one roast turn out a bit under done but it was a simple matter to add a few more minutes.

• It has a built-in meat thermometer that's integrated with the device, so you can tell it to cook a steak or roast to a specific temperature, and then let it rest.
