Very normal. As long as the vent is closed it will stop when it hits the right pressure.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.There are several forums with people and pressure issues with the "Smart lid" the action lock seems defective, and possibly even a design issue. People keep asking about steam escaping, I believe this can also be a bad sign, there are two caps or shoes on the inside of the lid that are pulled back when you unlock or open the lid, I believe they are not engaging correctly when locked and allow pressure to release leaving the lid useless. Mine is new and will not pressurize, warning to all, several forums of frustrated buyers.....
