  • Questionwhy am i getting VENT error when trying to saute, no lid is on for saute so no pressue, why does it think its over pressure. tryed everything, unplug.let it timeout of error and shutdown itself. still vent error when turn back on to saute or slow cook.

    Asked by garyk3210.

    • Answer This happened to me as well and I found out that if I did a short pressure cook, 2 minutes, and then let it fully vent at the end I was able to saute again. I think the error may have happened for me because I was too quick to try and get the lid off when doing a pressure cook. Note I am not an expert and this literally just happened so not sure if it will continue to happen!

  • QuestionThe red float valve doesn't "pop up," thus the pressure can't build up. Besides the steam coming out the red valve, there is some "light steam" coming out of the side. I already check the silicon ring at least 10 times, but the problem isn't fixed.

    Asked by hoangt12345.

    • Answer I find out the reason why. The purpose of the red float valve is when the pressure built up, the pressure raises the red float valve up that in turn lock the lid to be opened when there is pressure in the cooker, when the steam is released the float valve "lower back" to its original position, and the lid can be opened. My lid has a flaw that doesn't allow the red float valve to pop up, thus no pressure is build. Thank you to Courtney at Ninja's help, I will have a replacement lid at no cost. Hope this experience helps other ninja users.

  • QuestionAfter the pressure cooking part is done how long does the crisper process generally take?

    Asked by Possiblepurchaser.

    • Answer Depending on where/ how you position the food (i.e. which rack/position), it averages 5 - 10 min (including opening twice to baste for items that require basting). I've followed the following process so far: Pressure cook for 20-25 min. Then release/open to remove liquid from unit. I baste meat first time. Use AirCrisp ~5min. Baste meat a second time. AirCrisp to finish ~5min. I've tried two marinades that had some type of sugar to cause nice caramelization: 1) Ginger Soy Ribs - (squeezed) ginger, soy, sake, and honey marinade. I used left over beer/kombucha and left-over ginger root as pressure cooker liquid. I then reduced the left over marinade and used it during the baste steps. 2) BBQ Ribs - I used a BBQ spice rub on the meat. I used beer/kombucha liquid as pressure cooker liquid. I then used BBQ sauce to baste the ribs during the baste steps.
