A:AnswerIt is possible to put in place measures to resist scalpers buying multiple cards. Micro Center for instance requires a state ID to purchase a GPU and there is then a 30-day hold on that household, not just person, from buying any other GPU at any other Micro Center. Bypassing this requires either a paid proxy or a very good quality fake ID (since they scan check them), both of which cut into the scalpers' profits. That said it comes with a downside I don't think Best Buy wants - ever since Micro Center moved to this system there has been a permanent shantytown in their parking lots as people maintain permanent lines to be first in line any day they get stock replenishment. It's off-putting to other customers since it's by definition people in tents or just sitting on the sidewalk in this heat who haven't showered in days and of course has exposed the people sleeping in front of stores to be targets of crime. There's no easy solution here, even doing the sensible thing of banning cryptocurrency won't fix this until the superconductor shortage also resolves. The sad reality is the average consumer will probably never have the opportunity to be able to just go to a store or website and buy a 30 series card at retail. The 40 series will be out by then, and may even launch at prices closer to what they're being scalped at now since manufacturers see those prices and learn the lesson we're pricing GPUs too low.
A:AnswerTo answer your question, I asked the same thing of a best buy representative just now. And I quote, "Thanks for waiting. Sorry I did check and see that there is no any policy or preventative measures for scalpers."
A:AnswerThe only way to fit it into a notebook, is to install it via eGPU (external GPU) which is an external enclosure for the GPU. You CANNOT fit this in a notebook. Do not buy it if your intention is to add it to the notebook WITHOUT the eGPU.
I believe that the other monitor outputs should work.
A:AnswerThis cannot be used alone, you will have to purchase a full computer usually if you want to buy this graphics card you will be paying roughly $2000-$3000. which is very overkill for a computer to play Minecraft. What I recommend is to not buy this and buy a console or to buy a less powerful graphics card, like the RTX 3060, it is still powerful but you don't have to spend the extra $300. I will say though, most likely you won't know how to build a pc so I just recommend looking for a pre-built or console.
A:AnswerDon't buy it unless you plan to overclock, if you don't want to overclock you're basically paying for overkill cooling you don't need and just the way it looks.
A:AnswerBestBuy doesn't keep any in-store stock for the RTX 30 Series Cards for now, they're online only. As of now, you can't pre-order a card from BestBuy either, you can only get one from them when they do a drop.
A:AnswerSimply it is a marketing stunt to get more views on Best Buy. by this mechanism Best buy will keep you check their websites and give you illusion of "you can buy". So next time you click and refresh, and they will get higher SEO score.
Best Buy does not care about selling to people, Actually they are Happy that you check them 100 times for illusion of available product.
A:Answer750w is fine. In leaked benchmarks, TOTAL system draw (GPU, CPU, hard drives, RAM, cooling, etc) wasnt much over 500w. 750w power supply is exactly what Nvidia recommends for the 3080 AND 3090, anyways.
