A:Answer Based off of what we have seen, NVidia did not want to deal with the customers when there was a chip shortage and the issues caused by all the scalpers buying up the GPU's so they handed the customer facing business over to Best Buy exclusively for the Founder Editions. NVidia does and has reserved the rights to list and sale the items on the NVidia store but most are sold via Best Buy. Now this is where it gets bad for me, Best buy employees 1) never know about stock, you can not pre-order most of the time, and if you are a loyal customer you will most likly not be able to walk into a store and get a NVidia Card. The will simply try to get you to pay them for a membership that will not guaranty you can get one either. The membership is to have the access what they call "early access". Basically Best Buy has done a huge dis-service to the customers that have shopped with them for years and NVidia by not keeping the scalpers from acquiring the units and further added to the issue by opportunistically forcing the market to purchase a service from them to even have a chance to acquire a card. It seems allot like extortion to me and has done nothing to provide so many NVidia customers access to the products.
