QuestionI purchased Shield pro from local bestbuy store a couple days ago. From the bestbuy product page and package box, I had the impression that it comes with a stand but it did not. can someone confirm whether this product come with a vertical stand?

QuestionI have LG OLED with Dolby vision hdr 2017 model. Roku ultra could not stream in 4k and hdr,or 4k and Dolby vision. Only 1080p with dolby vision, or 4k with no hdr or dolby vision. How about the Nvida shield?

- Answer Hi, I have the Nvidia Shield Pro and am using it with my 2019 Samsung QLED QN75Q7FNAFXZA, and the Bose 700 Soundbar , I have the Best Picture and Sound Quality I have had with all the other Streaming Devices, Fire TV Stick, Fire TV Cube, and Roku. I have also not had any problems with the streaming since I switched to the Nvidia Shield Pro. There are numerous setting in the Shield that you can use for all types of condition. It is easy to setup, use, and is fast, and you can even add a external HD for more space. I do hope this helps you

- Answer Some Apps that offer free live tv in them and some pretty good quality movie’s are. Crackle, Pluto, XUMO, Airy Tv, Plex , Peacock, But look up on YouTube how to install apps that offer more tv and movies. Like filelinked. I hope that help’s you. Enjoy!

- Answer Yes, however if you have additional TVs with the Plex App installed (or a device that supports Plex like a Roku), you can use your Shield TV Pro as a Plex Server (or DLNA/uPnP server) to stream your saved media to other TVs.

QuestionCan the Nvidia be tricked with a VPN to think it’s in another city? Or does it it have location services that overrides a VPN like Apple TV? Yes, there are ways to trick an Apple TV. But it’s not easy. It involves additional equipment and configuration.

- Answer Yes it can. I know that NordVPN has an app for Android TV that allows you to watch outside your geofencing but I am not sure about other VPNs availability.

- Answer It currently doesn't really matter when comparing specs. Apple tv does support HDMI 2.1 but does not support 4k @120hz currently, which is the main reason to move to hdmi 2.1.

- Answer There’s not that big of a difference between Android TV 11 from 12 and 13, so that’s not going to be likely. Also Google own box still runs Android 10… IF it ever got to that point Nvidia would likely get an update out, and they still give all generations of the shield TV the latest updates so lack of update support isn’t exactly common for them.

QuestionCan you access the Internet through Google Chrome to download content onto this device??

- Answer Google chrome is not readily available to download from Google play. There is a hack where you can download anything from Google play, but out of the box, it has restrictions on Android streaming device apps. Also controlling the cursor may be a little tricky. You'd probably have to tab to each element to select the download button. Haven't tried with a USB mouse, but interface is similar to Android cell phone.

- Answer Yes and no. It depends if you are close to a major city. Check out an app called Gmaster. It's not much and you will get much more than just locals for far less than cable. Look up gmasterpanel.com

- Answer Expandable storage, built in to Android. Two USB ports, can use one to expand internal storage and the other as external. Or use both as external. Personally I have a Samsung T5 USB3 SSD attached as adoptable storage (expanding internal storage) and it absolutely flies. If you use a spindle drive for adoptable storage, expect performance issues.

- Answer This will most definitely improve your Sony tv. I have the Sony Bravia 75inch X90K and was using the built in smart tv functions but was very slow and clunky and picture quality seemed dulled even after playing with picture settings. So I did my research picked up this Nvidia streaming device and it has dramatically improved the picture quality and is not clunky at all. The speed will depend on your internet connection and whether or not you have it connected through Wi-Fi or Ethernet port. Highly recommend, hope this helps.
