- Answer An ATMOS Receiver has another set of speaker connections, on my Yamaha RX V681 receiver, they are labeled "Presence". I placed a set of Onkyo SKH-410's (sold at BB) on my front speakers, and the difference is very noticeable. In my case, the speakers fire up at the ceiling, but ceiling, side or side/rear configurations can also be utilized. - Answer No, the speakers can be connect to any manufacturer's receiver. However, the receiver must be Dolby Atmos-enabled in order to utilize that function.

- Answer No they'll connect to any receiver with regular speaker cable but the receiver does need to be dolby atmos enabled or they won't work as intended.

- Answer These speakers will only work with an audio-video receiver that has connections for atmos speakers. You don't want to connect them to any other device because they aren't designed to produce full audio range of sounds or frequencies.

- Answer No. Mine are sitting on top of my front speakers and firing towards the ceiling. I believe my room is too large to get the true sound these are designed for, just like a vaulted ceiling would be. For the best sound for these speakers in a large room, or a room that has vaulted ceilings, you should probably mount them on the wall, near the ceiling, above your front speakers. This is just my opinion from my experience.

- Answer I agree and disagree. To get excellent Dolby Atmos surround sound, you really need ceiling mounted speakers, or mount the Onkyo speakers on the wall near the ceiling above your front speakers. When you place these on top of your front speakers and fire them towards the ceiling, you do get Dolby Atmos sound, but it is not as good as ceiling mounted speakers. The size of these speakers are perfect for what they are designed for, however, the larger the room you are listening in, the larger your speakers should be.

- Answer Put them at or above ear height when seated and on top of the left and right front speakers if possible.

- Answer As long as your receiver is Dolby Atmos ready, and you can have 7.1 (or more) speaker connections, then yes you can.

- Answer While these speakers are rated at 90Hz - 20kHz, due to their small size and intended purpose (ATMOS Presence speakers), I'm not sure the sound will be as full as you might like. Also, they point up at the ceiling, not toward you. I'm sure you can find better speakers, in the same price range to will more closely fit your purpose.

QuestionI have the Onkyo 636. Dolby Atmos ready. I currently have four speakers in the rear, two front, one center, and the subwoofer. All Onkyo speakers. Do I disconnect the back surround speakers and hook these up instead or do I hook both sets together?

- Answer Yes they're intended to be set as rear surround to give you the over head 3d audio.

- Answer While I placed these speakers on top of my front speakers and they work fine, they do come with wall mount brackets.
