Q: QuestionDoes this camera offer a date & time stamp?

• A:Answer There is a date and time stamp visible on the display during operation, but I have not found a feature to impose the date/time on video clips pulled from the camera (like old JVC cameras). An easy software that can place date and time stamp information into video is IVE (Investigator Video Editing) software. Best software I have found that is out there.

• A:Answer Come with hdmi cord and isn cord. HDMI is a mini hdmi. I had very hard time finding one. The usb cord is an off breed also. These camera are great, if u locate and work at to get it to go from camera to visual apparatus. We use for fb broadcasts. Had to go back to old camera another week, because we couldn’t get it to match Lots of trips to BB to locate. If I order, make sure u are ordering the correct match for your cords currently in use. The power cord is for the normal cell chime set up. Don’t know about a battery pack. Sorry

• A:Answer Hello! You need to access MENU, then choose SETUP. After this, choose EXT. Display and you will be able to choose between Simple (Information partially displayed), Detail (Detailed information displayed) and Off (Not displayed). The Simple option is only available in Motion Picture Recording Mode or Still Picture Recording Mode. Hope this helps! -C

• A:Answer Hi! It is possible to use this unit with power supplied from the AC outlet by turning on the unit with the AC adaptor connected. Even when you use the AC adaptor for recording images, keep the battery connected. This allows you to continue the recording even if a power failure occurs or the AC adaptor is unplugged from the AC outlet by accident. Q: QuestionComparing HC-V785K to older Panasonic HC-V380K. Taking wildlife videos of small, fast moving animals from a distance. 50x optical zoom of HC-V380K is preferred to the 20x of the HC-V785K. Other features make up for the lack of zoom? or go with HC-V380K?

• A:Answer Hello Brian, and thank you for your interest in our products! The only difference besides the zoom is the Twin Camera function present only for the HC-V785 camcorder, which allows you to simultaneously record two images with the Main Camera, you can also record the Main Camera’s image as a separate scene, and the Wireless Twin Camera function, which when this unit and a smartphone are connected via Wi-Fi, you can display the image transmitted from the smartphone on this unit’s Sub Window and record it simultaneously with the Main Camera’s image. In the end, this would be a matter of personal preference, therefore we encourage you to choose the product that fits your requirements the best. -G
