No, it will output the audio encoding as is.

The User Guide offers a footnote accompanying the HDMI/Optical Output table under BOTH bitstream and PCM audio: When “BD-Video Secondary Audio” is set to “On”, the audio will be output as Dolby Digital, DTS Digital Surround or 5.1ch PCM. However, when playing BD-Video without secondary audio or navigation sounds, the audio is output as the original format. The next question is for SONOS . . does the soundbar accept PCM and/or bitstream input? As long as it accepts PCM input, it would seem to be compatible.
