You can't. You'll need to get a separate streaming device and use that instead of your Smart TV's built in apps. There's no way to make your TV output video to an external device over HDMI.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, you can’t use the lights without an hdmi cable. You can’t use the smart tv’s built in apps. You’ll have to use another source like a bluray player, game console, Apple tv, etc..
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can’t is the simple answer. In order for the sync to control the lights in response to what’s going on, on your tv screen, it needs to see the information going to the screen. Because all of the screen and sound data in your smart Tv is all contained within your Tv there is no way for the sync box to know what’s happening. Sorry. But you’ll need to have Netflix playing on an external device like a (cable box, game system, Roku, Apple TV or DVD player). Run the hdmi cable from that device to the sync box and the the hdmi out of the sync to the tv. Then it can see and hear what’s being sent to the smart tv and then it can dazzle you with synchronized lights.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don’t believe you have any options that don’t involve a HDMI cable. You will most likely need to use a 3rd party platform to use the Sync Box. Personally, I really like the Amazon Fire Cube, Roku, and Apple TV. Any one of those would work. If you have a TV provider double check the device you choose supports the providers app. I’m hoping your sound bar has an HDMI IN and an HDMI OUT. If so your setup should be “streaming device (example “roku”) to sync box, sync box to sound bar HDMI IN, then sound bar HDMI OUT to your TV’s HDMI IN. I know it’s now the answer you wanted, but hopefully it gets you in the right direction.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can't, you need a video signal to run through the sync box. You would have to use the apps externally via apple tv, fire stick, etc.
