• Yup that’s correct. Think of it in the terms that once the fire stick is inserted into a hdmi port through the box, the signal of the Hue lights is then pigged backed into the data transferred the the hdmi port. Which tells yours lights how to react.

• Correct. The Fire TV will not work because you do have to plug something into the hue sync box that then goes back to the TV. So the Fire Stick will work.
