Questiondo you have to use the ifit or proform membership to operate the machine? what does the ifit membership cost?

- Answer You can bypass the iFit lock when first setting up (and probably later, too, but since I never activated it, I am not sure about the specifics). Just press and hold the iFit button for around 30 seconds. That’s it. Make sure the magnetic clip is attached in order for it to start.

QuestionWhere is the ifit button? I want to see the 50 preloaded workouts. I've held down the ifit logo at the center top of screen and the ifit label in between the fan and volume controls off of the screen, each for 30 seconds, and nothing happens. Thanks!

- Answer I will answer my own question since I finally figured it out. There is NO ifit button on the Carbon E7. The instructions provided in response to several other questions, 24 questions to date, but not all related to ifit, as I write this response on March 17, 2021 are plain wrong. If you activated your ifit membership, one-year included for free with the purchase of the Carbon E7, and you are logged onto the machine, you must LOG OUT and then click Manual workout to actually see the preloaded programs. I found it very difficult to figure out what was preloaded when logged into ifit. Additionally, I find ifit a little overwhelming with trying to choose a workout. I was hoping for a 10-15 minute HIIT rather than a 30 plus minute elliptical workout. I have sorted through all the preloads, but hope I find one that changes resistance and/or incline to mimic a HIIT.

QuestionIf I don't want to use iFit, can I bypass it and manually control the workout myself? Or do I have to use one of the 50 onboard workout programs?

- Answer Yes you can bypass the activation. No need to subscribe & not worth it. Just use manual mode. Press the ifit or bluetooth button for 30 seconds to bypass activation. Manual mode is good enough

- Answer Stride Length: 17.5" TO 18.7" ..........HOW TO ADJUST THE POSITIONS OF THE PEDALS (from the manual).......... Each pedal can be adjusted to several positions. To adjust each pedal, simply pull the pedal handle (L) outward, move the pedal to the desired position, and then release the pedal handle into an adjustment hole beneath the pedal. Make sure to adjust both pedals to the same position.

QuestionI would need to take it down to my basement as it has small passage, and entire box might not turn on a 90 degree. and was wondering what is the weight of the heaviest piece of this machine?

- Answer Heaviest part of the machine is at least 120 - 140 lbs and quite awkward, really not possible or recommended to try carry by yourself (safely). It required two of us (myself and my wife) to carry from our main floor down to our basement workout area where this was assembled. The box it arrives in is quite large and extremely heavy, unless you have a walkout basement or direct access to whatever floor it will be in, you'll likely need to carry parts individually and assemble as I did. On the plus side, assembly was pretty easy and only took a couple of hours from start to finish.

QuestionWhen I turned on my elliptical this morning it started with the normal ifit logo start up and now it is a blank white screen. I’ve tried turning it off and back on and unplugging it but I can’t get past the white screen. What do I do?

- Answer Same thing just happened to me. Ifit sent me a video clip that showed how to use a paper clip to reset the console. There is a tiny white button in a small hole on the top of the console. Turn off machine at power switch, then press the reset with paper clip and hold it while turning back on. Don’t release the clip until you can see a reboot message on the white screen. It took about 30 minutes to reboot, download an update, and restart.

QuestionHow do you loosen the resistance level on the machine? Level 1 of the resistance feels like level 15. BEWARE: The people that put this together for Best Buy are bad They left before making sure everything was working. And they won't come back to fix

- Answer MackAttack Hi there. Sorry you feel a little abandoned by the delivery people. That isn’t helpful. But good news. We’re here to help! You may want to check if the wires to the resistance motor are pinched at all. Here’s some instructions: Unplug the machine. Remove the side shields over the motor. Verify that the wires attached to the resistance motor are not pinched under a screw. If they are pinched, loosen the bolt that is pinching them and tighten the bolt again ensuring the wires don’t get pinched again. The resistance levels should be noticeably different from each other and level one certainly should not feel like level 15. If your wires are not pinched at all and you are still experiencing extra high resistance levels, please reach out to us. Your warranty covers parts (for 2 yrs) and labor (for 1 yr). - Answer There are step by step 3D instructions, read aloud, on the BILT app. Search by machine number. In my opinion it was better than video because it highlights the part , and you can zoom in from multiple aspects to see each step

QuestionWhere's the pin to do a factory reset. The software won't load and the resistance settings and height adjustments resets every minute or so. It's practically unusable

QuestionDoes the manual mode allow you to set the time for your workout? The only buttons I see are resistance and incline. My son just wants to set it for 45 mins and go... is that possible?
